“My Fourth Sorrow and Joy”
Children of my Most Chaste Heart:
At that time, according to the Law of Moses, it was written that every firstborn would be presented to the Lord (Luke 3:23; Exodus 13:2) and the purification of the Mother. Jesus, the Son of God, and Mary, the Immaculate, humbly submitted to the Law of the Lord, to fulfill out of love and not as an obligation, what was commanded by the Lord (Galatians 5:14), and I, as the Patriarch of the Holy Family, lead my Family to the feet of the Almighty.
What pain! felt my Chaste and Loving Heart when we met the prophet Simeon, who announced the future sacrifice of Jesus and the spiritual passion of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, who as the Coredemptrix would unite herself to the sufferings of her Son (cf. Luke 2:34-35).
But the joy that invaded my heart was when we presented the Child to the Lord, and he received from the Holy Spirit the anointing as the Messiah in the Temple of God. No one realized, except us, his parents, Simeon, and the prophet Anna, that the Redeemer was already among men.
Children, present yourselves together with the Child Jesus, in union with Him, to the Eternal Father, as a single Host, who is sacrificed on the altar, so that you may become holy and blameless in the eyes of the Lord.
Live! dear children, this Mystery of the Presentation of the Child Jesus continually! Never take away from your hearts that God is in you always; He, always, remains in you.
I bless you as the Father of the Child Presented in the Temple.
